Tory Bantz practices business,
tax, securities, and estate planning law. She is a member of the Firm's Tax Department
and Corporate Department. She assists individuals and companies with their business
planning needs - from the formation of entities to succession planning and asset sales,
all with a view of the tax effects.
In addition, Tory has developed an expertise in assisting international companies with listings
on the premier tier of the Pink Sheets, known as the otcQX. She acts as a Principal Attorney
Liaison (PAL) and provides guidance on corporate disclosure to the U.S. investor audience and
advises otcQX clients on accessing and attracting U.S. investors. Currently, her focus has been
on assisting Canadian junior mining and exploration companies with exposure to the U.S. market.
Tory received her B.A. in English with a minor in Biology from the University of Virginia in 1997.
She received her J.D. with a concentration in tax from the University of Colorado in 2004 where she
served as a member and Production Editor of the University of Colorado Law Review. Before attending
law school, Tory was a corporate paralegal with Cooley Godward LLP, assisting with initial public
offerings and private equity financings.
In addition to client work, Tory was a speaker at the 8th Annual Business Law Institute on unincorporated
entities in August 2007. She is also involved with the Colorado Business Corporations Act committee and
new developments in the Colorado legislature affecting businesses. She is a member of the American, Colorado,
and Denver Bar Associations.
