Robert G. Wilson, Jr. heads the firm's financial institutions practice group. He is considered by many to be a leading authority in Colorado on credit union law and regulation. Currently, he provides representation to a majority of the federal and state chartered credit unions located in the State of Colorado, as well as credit unions located throughout the United States. His credit union practice includes representation of credit union trade associations and various credit union owned service organizations that provide credit union financial products and services including mortgage lending, automobile financing, shared branching services and other electronic banking services. His practice also includes the representation of other financial institutions and businesses on issues involving regulatory matters, electronic banking, bank secrecy and anti-money laundering, commercial law, asset based financing and secured transactions, real estate law, and consumer finance law and regulation.

Mr. Wilson was born in Denver, Colorado in 1951. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree with high distinction from Colorado State University in 1973 and his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Denver in 1977, and was admitted to the Colorado Bar in 1977. He received the outstanding young lawyer award from the Arapahoe County Bar Association in 1986 and later served as the Association's president from 1991 to 1992. He also served as a member of the Board of Governors of the Colorado Bar Association from 1990 to 1993. Mr. Wilson served as a member of the executive committee for Lawyers Association Worldwide, serving as a regional representative for member firms located in North, Central and South America from 1996 to 2006 and as the Association's secretary from 2006 to October of 2009. Lawyers Associated Worldwide is an association of independent law firms located in over 100 major commercial centers throughout the world.
