James R. Nottingham is a member of the firm's Financial Institutions Department and the firm's Litigation Department. Mr. Nottingham's practice focuses on banking law and regulation, credit union law and regulation, creditor rights law, bankruptcy law, landlord tenant law, debt collection, commercial litigation and real estate litigation. Mr. Nottingham has provided legal services in connection with the firm's representation of approximately one hundred fifty credit unions located in the State of Colorado and throughout the United States, as well as other credit union organizations, such as the Credit Union Association of Colorado. Mr. Nottingham was admitted to the Colorado Bar in 2001 and was admitted to the U.S. District Court, District of Colorado, in 2003. He is a member of the American, Colorado and Denver Bar Associations. Mr. Nottingham received his Juris Doctor degree in 2001 from the University Of Denver Sturm College Of Law, where he served as a staff editor on the Denver University Law Review. Prior to attending law school, Mr. Nottingham worked for a United States Senator in Washington, D.C. and for an advertising agency as a copywriter. Mr. Nottingham graduated from the University of Colorado in 1997 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature. Mr. Nottingham was born in Denver, Colorado on September 27, 1974.
