Charles A. Bewley practices in the areas of real estate, mortgage banking, including foreclosure and workouts, business law and international transactions. His real estate practice includes representation of multifamily and single family developers and land use planning aspects of real estate development. With respect to mortgage banking, Mr. Bewley represents commercial lenders on large multifamily residential development projects and represents, in Colorado, some of the largest commercial and residential mortgage servicers in the United States. He has an extensive foreclosure and loan workout practice and has assisted the Colorado legislature in drafting some of the recent amendments to the Colorado Public Trustee's statutes. Mr. Bewley is a registered United States Department of Housing and Urban Development single family and multifamily housing commissioner registered in Washington D.C. and represents, and is authorized to deal on behalf of, the United States Government and the Department of Housing and Urban Development with respect to liquidation of single family and multifamily projects, loans and sales. Mr. Bewley is an international lawyer who has served as a special advisor to the State of Colorado on China affairs. He has lectured and advised on China and Middle East affairs for the United States Department of Commerce and International Trade Administration, and was a member of the United States Trade Delegation to the 42nd national hemispheric conference on trade in 1995.

Mr. Bewley was born in Honolulu, Hawaii, on May 5, 1950. He was educated at the University of Colorado from which he received a B.S. degree in 1975 and a J.D. degree in 1980. He was admitted to the Colorado Bar in 1980.
